More Let's Plays!

I've joined the list of UnderRail LP'ers.  Here you can see my take on the game.  I am going into it blind so the first couple of episodes are going to emphasize learning the game/gameplay.  I hope to get into the action soon to get some in-game combat experience.

I know you wanted to play blind, but... for the love of god, please spend a minute reading the F1 help screen so you at least know how the interface works! :(

Watching you ponder how the UI works is getting really awkward after 4 hours.

Sorry, I didn't mean that as a complaint, but as a small tip to make the gameplay more enjoyable for you. I would hate to fight against UI when I play games, so I just wanted to help. No hard feelings?

You just seemed to be confused on how the UI works, like often trying to drag usable items to utility slots, you were probably looking for the action bar? (Check your inventory's utilities category for stuff that goes into utility slots) Or talking about hidden lockers - Tab/Z highlights usables so you won't have to pixel hunt for stuff that's partially obscured under isometric walls. You know, small things that aren't immediately obvious, but are explained in the help.

Many new player miss things like that, and more - a testament to the fact that the UI certainly isn't as intuitive as it could be. (Hint to Styg ;))

That's actually quite helpful.  Using tab/z to see the objects on the map makes everything much more apparent.  And the tip about the inventory (especially the utility slots - as I can now clearly see what goes in them) showed me how to quickly move things around.  And I'm starting to get a grasp of how to use the action bar.

I will load up my action bar next episode and get into the habit of using quickkeys (I also like the shift/ctrl for more slots) and try to spend less time in my inventory from now on.

And since I understand your motives now, any additional criticism will be appreciated.  And I apologize for snapping at you.

Episode 10:  It was a bit delayed due to more editing required.  The sentry guns in the GMS compound are incredibly strong and I died far too many times to show on camera :)

I also sorted out some things with my inventory/action bar as epeli pointed out but I expect it will take a bit of time for me to get more accustomed to it, hopefully it will make the gameplay a bit smoother with less inventory management.

I have a couple of ideas to try and get past them next time, but if I have too much trouble I will be looking for other missions until I am stronger.
