Win 10 - Can't play fullscreen in 0.1.14.2
« on: August 02, 2015, 05:04:22 pm »
As per the title, if I switch the game to fullscreen mode under Windows 10 64-bit, then pretty much as soon as the game launches, the screen clears to black for a brief moment before the window minimises to the task bar and the desktop is restored.  I can hear the audio still palying in the background, so I can tell it's still running, but any attempt to restore the application window causes the screen to clear black again momentarily before the window re-minimises.

It was working fine in Windows 7 prior to upgrade to Win 10.

Anyone else able to replicate this?   [NB: Game seems to run fine in a window]

I upgraded to Win 10 a day ago and the game runs full screen just like it did before when I was on 8.1.

Odd.  I'll have to try a reinstall then ... see if that fixes it.

Ah.  Reinstalling the game appears to have sorted the issue out.  Odd though.  Not sure why it was doing it in the first place.

Win10 is spying on you, sending your e-mail, calendar etc to Microsoft and anyone he want, throw away that garbage.

err ... no it isn't since the backchannels are blocked via my router's firewall, and all the spying options have also been switched off in the OS.

Also Chrom doing the same, except he track even every mouse move and who know what else. Google_updater in task manager, and you can't kill it.
Also Chrom or Chromium has option by default, that turn on microphones and send all data on servers.
And that's just what everybody knows.

The sad reality is - in the modern world there isn't a single thing which doesn't track, spy, watch or log you.

Whether that's the local supermarket with it's customer clubcard, every single naughty google search you've ever done or more sinister things =(

Not that it's right.

We can hardly sit here completely disconnected with our tin foil hats on.

Before installing - who goes through every single line of code in a "safe" Linux distro looking for any evidence of tracking? Can you trust them because "they" say it's safe?

Windows 10 needs a few improvements but I can see it becoming the new 7 with DX12, etc.

Got us by the danglies - like it or lump it I suppose =\
