General / Re: Fix my build

Thought STR builds are important for rifle or gun users no?

To a certain degree. For assault rifles you want 7 STR. For heavy armor you want 8 STR (or 9 for heaviest heavy armor). Because there's just one point difference players usually take heavy armor for AR builds.

But heavy armor is bad for your Snipe feat. If you want this feat badly take 7 STR, more agility and dodge/evasion (or at very least just evasion - melee dies easily to burst attacks). And if you go with heavy armor replace Snipe with Sprint.

You don't need so much INT, take 7 - it enables Gun Nut and all other crafting feats.

Leftover points can be put into CON.

He went to Core City at lvl 9. No wonder he has problems.

Suggestions / Currency priority when trading
« on: December 29, 2015, 05:51:03 pm »
When i click "Auto" while trading merchants will offer me SGS credits before offering Stygian coins.
For player it's reversed - your Stygian coins are offered first, SGS credits only if you dont have enough stygs.

I'd rather see it the other way around simply because Stygian coins have broader usage.

Now i'm manually dragging currency i want to trade which it defeats the purpose of "Auto" button.

General / Re: Psychosis vs Tranquility
« on: December 27, 2015, 07:59:34 am »
Just wondering what people here think works better for Normal difficulty. Nerd Commando (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxG64b5SH_o) recommends Tranquility but he's taking 10 CON on his Psion for the feat that sets health to max for two turns. I'm a little conflicted, for several reasons:

1) I don't have 10 CON
2) I think crit on demand (Psycho Mania) would be pretty potent for finishing fights before they even properly start
3) I'm on Normal, not Hard

Is anyone far enough into the game with a Psion to weigh in on this?

Thanks.

Las Stand is not as good as it looks. It effectively gives you one more turn to finish combat, not two.

Why?
Your HP is reset in current turn and is reduced to 1 at the end of your next turn. Just before enemy turn.
So technically it lasts 2 turns - your turns, when you don't need HP, you need HP during enemy turns.

Excellent news guys, Age of Decadence is out!
After about a decade of development (:

Steam tells me AoD and Underrail are similar titles. It must be good then!

Let Tchort give Styg strength and wits to fix Nimble once and for all. It would be real shame if this feat got removed. :'(

Pistols got hit really hard.

One thing you have to keep in mind is that you'll likely have serious trouble sourcing ammunition.
This. Take more perception, less dex, to make each bullet matter more. Especially if you are not going to use laser sight.

What do you think about weapon progression?  With Gunslinger feat the 5mm Hawker seems to be superior weapon for quite some time since you get to shoot 5 times per round if you max out Dexterity in the beginning. You can't construct very powerful energy weapons straight on.

My Feat progression so far
Gunslinger, Aimed Shot
Opportunist
Kneecap shot (very nice with opportunist)
5mm is nice early game for shooting rathounds but i replaced it with 7.62 at level 4 (11 DEX == 4 attacks) because it had problems with getting through DT.
But that was before 1.14. Now, with Expertise feat at higher levels, 5mm might be getting through DT just fine. But personally, instead of building fastest pistolero in Underrail i'd rather just use SMGs.

Recklessness, Ambush and Steadfast Aim are good, work well with Sharpshooter and Critical Power. Steadfast Aim works better with slower guns.

I would not take Hit and Run. With Sharpshooter you want to shoot first and then move.

Suggestions / Blitz not taking all MP

Blitz, after nerf, can't use more than 60 MPs so maybe it shouldn't take more than 60 as well?

At least 10 PER for Sharpshooter.
Keep your DEX high as well. If you don't have specific gun in mind, 12 DEX is nice value to have, as it's a sweet spot for a couple of guns.
Another sweet spot is 15 DEX.
Take Gunslinger.

You either take 7 int for Gun Nut or dump it and have 4 extra points in STR. Someone did math and Gun Nut gives more damage on low levels and 4 PER gives more at high levels. PER also gives accuracy. Also Gun Nut works only with firearms variety of handguns. I'd take extra perception.
3 INT should be enough for your crafting needs. You may not be able to craft items with highest possible quality, i dunno. Wait for some expert players to respond. Hint: you can temporarily boost INT with junkyard surprise.
