Hey styg, know you're busy an all that, but do you think there's any chance we could get some if not all the wonderful, claustrophobic, cluttered, or downright mystical songs that permeate the areas in this game? One that come to mind are the caves just south of SGS, which have some pretty good ambiance to them.

Suggestions / My beef with 'psychokinesis.'

So, 'psychokinesis', a name which makes little sense to me considering it has to do with projecting physical attacks, has the description of
'the ability of the user to project mechanical attacks, as well as emit electrical currents and project electromagnetic fields'
Which is bull. The first part is fine, its all well and good, you can use psi powers to project your fisticuffs, but the electrical currents and electromagnetic fields part is where my beef resides.

Which brings me to what my beef is: 'The hell do you mean emit electrical currents and EM fields?'. When I built my first psi character, I saw that and was like 'electrical currents? electromagnetic fields? hells yeah! i'm gonna be shooting lightening at fools!' I was sorely disappointed to have sunk 15 of my precious skill points into psychokinesis, only to be punching people from far away, which in of itself is cool as hell, but not shooting lightening from my fingertips by a LOOOONG shot.

Don't get me wrong, it's a fine school of psi powers, but the description is just misleading, all I would like is for it to be changed to something closer to the truth. I mean, its not a stretch to say 'the ability of the user to project mechanical attacks, as well as emit psionic armor and produce walls to block the enemy.' Which is EXACTLY what the class does.

Sure, you can do that weird shield thing, and the psi wall thing, but thats not electric currents, nor EM fields. For one, an electric current wouldn't do jack shit to block a lead projectile, it would only make the bullets both shock AND put holes in you; for two, an EM current wouldn't do that either, nor would it block toons, like the wall does, because lead, which is what bullets are made of, is NOT magnetic.

i needed to make my return here anyway. i cant seem to remember if i even bought underrail... hmmm. anyway, yeah ill take it up blah blah inogeration speech.

now, i have a habit of using the clean all command on dfhack, one of the only commands i use from it, whenever i feel its necessary.
well....

so.... umm... yeah... wow....
and also

we had like a billion archers stationed on the edge of the map, and before i noticed them, i sent a squad to take care of a kolbold that had been spotted. little did i know that my poor poor soldiers would be cought in the crossfire of a midievil fire fight. there were 10 survivors... barely. also, i build a hospital on the roof.

xmorg, blahg. My brain hurts, i can't figure this out, the turn cycle is making my head hurt. At least i know it's not immediately relevent considering maheusz's issues, so... whenever that is resolved, we'll continue i guess. i hope things get fixed with you maheusz!

hey peebles. sorry for being absent so long... things came up that had to be taken care of... my grandmother broke her hip, my grandfather had to have Open heart surgery, homestuck happened....
but i might maybe possibly be returning, i just need to get back into DF, which is hard... but totaly worth it. i'll probably be taking my next turn, which would be after xmorg right? unless you guys hate at me for being such a dick and comeing on and off so much!  :P
