Hey guys,

Been a while since I played UnderRail so I'm a little out of the loop, there have been many patches since my last foray underground. I was in the middle of an extremely well going Dominating run with a PSI char when the PSI nerf hit, plus other things got in the way at the time so I stopped playing. Couple days ago I found out that older branches are still available so I excitedly ran the game hoping to continue my old save, only to very unfortunately realize I lost all my saves when I upgraded the PC and forgot to make backups of the saves folder, because I forgot that the save files are too big for Steam Cloud. But I digress.

Anyway, I'd like to make another attempt at Dominating, with the latest patch of course, and I'm looking at either Energy (or Chem) pistols or full Sniper builds because they are one of the few I haven't tried yet. Any suggestions will be welcome. I'm strongly leaning towards Energy pistols because I've played stealth based chars so many times that I'd like to try something different. Thanks in advance!

I used a skill check to jump down (1 agi) into an area with the spiders. Had no issues with killing stuff but the problem is that I left my jetski behind and I can't seem to find a way back.

edit: I have low agi so I cannot hop over some gaps that I found in other cells. Playing on 1.1.1.6.

UnderRail is one of the best RPGs I've ever played. Everything it does just resonates so well with me - city crawling and lore dumps are kept to a minimum as it should be, stat and perk systems are intuitive and extremely well thought out, with great synergies and gameplay-transforming abilities. Huge focus on exploration and combat, both executed extremely well.

There is literally nothing I can hold against this game. Probably explains why I have ~600h in it.

Three Pointer is quite strong, even at only 10% base crit hit chance stuff like frag grenades will be critting a lot. Since you're going with a stealth build you could drop Trigger Happy as you'll generally be starting fights on your terms anyway.

Just accept the fact that death stalkers are meant to be cheesed. Throw a few molotovs around or back into a corner and spam quick tinkering+trap or the psychokinetic imprint.

I think cameras in the prison might be the issue, I've always stayed away from any means of busting Todor out. The easiest way to get him out is to finish some quests in the Foundry (murders, Balor) to gain the chief's trust, talk to todor, present sniper rifle and then tell the chief the evidence is inconclusive. That has always been enough for me in the last ~10 times I did the quest.

I have made an armour with one that was of 105q, dropped from Goliath on dominating difficulty. I'm not sure if there's any stat difference between 100 and 105 though.

Or just prevent LTI from going on cooldown while in combat. That way you also have to think tactically when to use it to maximise the benefit.

It's ok but hardly critical. I finish most battles on dominating with my cave wizard without even remembering that I have that ability unlocked.

They are the only help available for that fight.

This section is the reason why most people take at least 20 chemistry, regardless of the build.
