That happened to me, if you standing at the passage where hastages try to run, so you blocking their way.

I remember your post, but I wasn't able to reproduce the issue then, and I can't seem to reproduce it now. It could be that its manifestation requires some specific chain of events, or it could be that the bug is a side effect of something completely unrelated to this encounter and has been fixed somewhere along the way.

I'll keep this on hold for now until we release the update or someone shares some new information.

The variable you posted does not trigger that dialog branch; in fact, it gets set during that very part of Herve's dialog if you ask a certain sub-question.

His entire dialog has some very complicated scripting and perhaps there's a bug that doesn't manifest so often. It's difficult to break it down here so how about you send me your save and I'll take a look at what flags have been set? Dropbox or Google Drive are fine, and you could also PM the save to me if you don't want to post it here.

If we are talking about saving RC from Ironheads, then maybe you should consider death of Balor to make some sort of impact on that? I mean, my character killed every damn ironhead he could find on the map and wiped their base from the face of the underrail, yet somehow they still could obliterate RC just fine.

Probably that they realised screwing Rail Crossing over just to impede the progress of the Protectorate was wrong. Whereupon they would be reprimanded by the cell leaders for screwing up their task and being easily influenced by passing randoms with a few pretty words. The PC might be able to persuade a few footsoldiers that the ends don't justify the means in this case, but I strongly doubt someone like Trenton could be persuaded of this.

This sums it up, pretty much.

There's been a lot of interesting comments here, and I really like the idea of convincing the Free Drones to somehow help RC against Ironheads (but that option will most likely only be possible after joining the Free Drones). I can't promise anything right now as we've got our hands full, but I'll write down some of the ideas and leave it for after the expansion has been released. For now, I'll simply remove the [Lie] option if the player has convinced the footsoldiers to leave the train as I've previously mentioned.

Found and fixed the bug. All of the stored items were supposed to be transferred to the shelves in the northeastern part of the ground floor, but that wasn't happening. Players are advised to take all items from the containers (shelves, lockers, etc.) they'd like to replace/upgrade before doing so until we release the update.

I think I noticed a spelling error at the Gauntlet in the loudspeaker message you get at the exit from the burrower level. I think it was something like "not to the next level" where it was probably meant to be "on to the next level". Sorry to be so vague. The message went away before I could make notes or take a screenshot, and I didn't think to reload the autosave. And I don't have the patience to go through the Gauntlet multiple times until the random number generator falls into my favour.

Found it. Fixed that and all other reported spelling/typos.

When I first came across this, I thought there would be an option to smuggle Maura out with the corpse, or as the corpse.

You know, that sounds like an interesting idea. Will write that down. Can't promise anything, but if and when I get the chance to touch up some of these early quests I might implement something like this.

Fixed for the next update. We changed the way how fog of war was being handled in certain cases and this is the unfortunate side effect. There could be more cutscenes with the same problem but the fix should take care of them as well. Thanks.
