My most successful build up till now, Dexterity Pistol-Knife build (at lvl 20):

Equipment (core):

Riot Armor with Burrower Shield

.44 Hammerer
Dagger (preferable Tungsten or TiChrome)
PigLeather Tabi

With this build you can shoot 2 times with the .44 in one turn (because of AP reduction) doing massive damage (especially if it crits or when using execute). Besides from that you have moderate amount of defense and above average movement points. The knife attacks quite strong too because of the high crit chance/damage, you can even take down medium-heavy armored opponents with the knife!

You can also spot most traps (high PER + traps)
Choose for SGS in the Junkyard and access to some other quests (persuasion)
Craft high quality weapons, amour, shields etc (Mechanics, Electronics, Tailoring)
Able to craft all medicine and mining TNT (Biology, Chemistry)

Also a fun build is pure strength (15 points at lvl20) sledgehammer mayhem + ice. I can shatter most enemy's when they at 300hp, its really fun :D

What happened here is that the Siphoner got stuck inside me by walking towards me (perhaps inside my character). This also happens with some other enemy's, but mostly Siphoners. I can not walk away, I can not use melee weapons.

This looks great, even tho I am still not really done playing through foundry, I can't wait to explore Core City!

Quick question, will the level cap still be 20 or will it increase next patch? I wish I could gain more levels at the moment (for the feats).

I always assassinate him while he is walking (switching) between the 2 gamblerooms, most of the times the guards don't hear my gunshot(s) haha

Bugs / Melee attack bug

Love this patch so much, still haven't finished exploring :P + my twinbrother FINALLY bought this game too :D UNDERRAIL YEAAA!

But now business: sometimes melee enemy's surround me. This ain't a big deal because I have a knife, but when I can't attack this is a problem. This bug occurred with Junkyard Thugs, Burrower Spawns, Siphoners, Rathounds and Mutated Dogs so far. I can still shoot them with my .44 (or any other ranged weapon), but I find it very unrealistic that I can't stab (or use any other melee attack) my opponents while they are right in front of me.

At the moment I am playing a female character equipped with the riot armor + steel shield. When performing a dirty kick the model disappears (for the duration of performing the ability). I don't know if this problem happens too all models since this is the first time that I picked this feat (and it's awesome :D).

Anyway now you know ;)

Bugs / Gamecrash while moving item between screens

My game crashed, nothing really serious but I still wanted to report it: I was in my room switching some of my stuff. I was holding a item (rathound leather armor) and I moved it from the inventory (still holding it down with my mouse) to the crafting menus for recycling (hotkey G). The game crashed, probably because of the chaotic switching between screens and dragging that item with me. Next time I will drag it only when I need to haha (loving the updates so far!)

Whatsup guys!

After each patch I create a new character because I wanna see the changes made in the begin area's/ experience the new gamemechanics etc. Now I must do the cavehopper quest but there is an added sidequest to find a young guy named Newton. My question, where the hell can I find this dude? I can't start the GMScompound quest unless I find this guy so anyone found him? (probably its very obvious but I can't seem to figure it out myself...)

  • Cerebral Trauma - reworked: now increases Neural Overload damage by 25% (up from 20%) and burns 15% of the target's max psi points when Neural Overload lands
One of my favorite psifeats! I only took it for the damage but this makes fighting against psi users more fun as you can see there purple bar shrink.  Also handy for fighting a Giant Azuridae IF it ever will be implemented haha.

Underrail is really encouraging (in my experience!) a free playstyle. Like said before merchants will run out of money anyway so you will be rich anyhow (before and after this patch), looting anything may be useful but it actually doesn't mean much unless you are spending money like crazy instead of making objectives for yourself what major item you wanna buy next. Ever played Diablo 1? You can't loot all loot in that game too and the market prizes are crazy, but I found that really appealing. The game makes exploring and advancing more rewarding then trying and do complete all of the less rewarding things like collecting and hoarding useless stuff. Same thing applies to the Fallout series, lot of stuff to find but you can't loot all. It gives the game a more adventures feel, instead of mindless grinding. Its called a RPG for a reason right?

As for crafting, focusing on something you wanna craft and only collecting those ingredients will assist you, using the crafting more in a assisting way. For example, if you are psi, at least collect all the shrooms or only collect electronics you know you are gonna need in the future. Most of that stuff is cheap anyway or like the hearts and hides and stuff that are "so valuable", can be found on respawning enemy's.
