Besides Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics I mean. I'm looking for an isometric sci-fi RPG or MMORPG while I'm waiting for Underrail to be finished.

I guess Shadowrun Returns, sort of. It's way shallower, but it's ok.
Sword of the Stars: The Pit... it's also a sort of, and it's a roguelike(but a really good, and high production value one, and still runs even on my 6 year old netbook).
Tactical squad shooters ok? UFO: AI is decent and also completely free.
There's some more tactical squad shooters as well, but straight up sci-fi isometric RPGs are few and far between. There's a few coming up that look interesting(Stasis, Wasteland 2, Project Eternity, etc), and a few amateurish looking indie ones that I haven't tried out(like Datajack), but there's really slim pickings in this genre.

Hmm.. I always liked Eschalon book 1-2 (3 is being developed and should be out at the end of the year)..
Its a fantasy setting sadly, for sci fi junkies like me. But the gameplay is excellent! A bit of bauldurs gate/diablo flavor with survival mechanics..
This is an indie title aswell..

Well, I can say that Avernum series is pretty much similiar to Underrail.
Exept there are magic, not tech.
But don't spit yet - magic in Avernum look like tech in general, so try Avernum out.
But not new Avernum, I mean old.
New is a shit.

Heh, psi is basically magic, and specialty pistols are pretty much wands.

Dustbowl is a post-apo RPG / point and click, about to be released.

There is a free demo. The game seems very promising.

Check out Serpent in the Staglands (www.serpentinthestaglands.com).
Its a brand new oldschool CRPG inspired by Fallout (open world, classless character builds), Baldurs Gate (party based, real time combat with pause) and Darklands (gritty, Transylvanian inspiried setting).
While you're at it, you can sign our petition to make the game more known!

I'm suprised that nobody mentioned Jagged Alliance 2. I'm gaming on PC since 1994 and if I'd have to pick one single game as the best of all times it'd be this one. Graphics look outdated but gameplay is so outstanding I've yet to see a game that can rival it. Just make sure you play with the most recent build of the 1.13 community patch which gives the game tons of new features. I also recommend the mod Arulco Revised.

No one gonna mention Arcanum: Of Steamworks and magic obscura? A MUST PLAY for Fallot/Underrail/Isometric RPG lovers

You mean, no-one except for LuckyRX7 a year ago? How did you miss that??

Baldur's Gate
Baldur's Gate definitely has stealth. So much so that you can pickpocket Drizzt for his enchanted scimitar. For a Dual-Classed Fighter/Druid with 4 stars in Long Swords, that's the best scimitar available. Even for a fantasy setting, it's incredible that anyone could pickpocket anything from Drizzt, let alone his prized weaponry he's holding in his very hands.

I dont know, i just missed it.

Personally, out of all nine posts, I found that one the most eye-catching. But that's just me.

I'm sure you know about Fallout 1 and 2...
But do you know about fallout 1.5 ressurection, a very good total conversion of the game made by guys from tchek republic
. The story is great, the difficulty is just hard as needed, maybe a bit short but overall a great game. Look for it on google easy to install as well.
Also, Fallout of Nevada, same total conversion made by a russian team. A bit less good in my opinion, but way bigger and way more quests and places. The main issue is that it was harder to get it in english, Although possible. A year ago when I played it, you first needed to install the russian game, then translate it with files. Not really a proper way to do, but hey... It worked.
Both games are great, just be ready to tinker a bit for the second one.
