Title: Dev Log #33: Version 0.1.12.0 released
Post by: Styg on August 06, 2014, 05:44:54 pm
Hey guys, the new version is up. We're all very happy to have finally released this. It's the centerpiece of the game, our Athkatla/Sigil/Neverwinter. The main story still has places to go and we still plan on introducing more factions and sideplots, but expect the future updates to be a lot more focused and a lot less spacious.

We showed you bunch of screenshots already, so for this occassion we decided to make a short teaser trailer instead.

As before, we're releasing it to Steam first until we're sure it's stable and any potential major bugs that we missed during internal testing are fixed.

And because no dev log would be complete without a bullet list, here's an incomplete list of minor tweaks and stuff that were done since the last dev log:

Enjoy the update folks, report bugs and let us know how you liked it. Cheers.

I just went in for a second to take a look at character creation and the option menu... now I know I always ask this but do bear with me please.

I saw no option to disable merchant buying limits.

Am I right to assume that it doesn't exists still and that merchants still are limited to the amount of stuff they buy?

Thanks in advance.

Hey Styg!
I have been away for awhile and it seems i lost a lot of the developtment.  :D
The game looks to be growing fast. I havent tested it much yet but those new feats look great, speacially the unarmed ones.

Keep up the good job :D

Hahaha some things never change.
Out of curiosity Elhazzared, Styg has confirmed that he would be adding such option?

Now I just need to wait patiently for the Desura version to come out.

Didn't you get special e-mail already? It has a special fix which allows you to turn off merchant limits, give merchants unlimited amount of money and turn off item weight.

It was suppose to be sent to everyone except Elhazzared.  ;)

Execute will no longer deal extra damage even if the target is not stunned/incapacitated
Perfect timing! I was just about to put this in bug section :D

Styg did say at some point in time that he might in the future be adding the option as he was not going to go back to the old model that had no limits so I've been waiting for him to implement it before I can play again because really, without that I really can't play, the game is just way too frustating to play without being able to sell my stuff.

Ok, I think I might just not be able to wait.
If I pick up the Steam key from Desura, can I still play it on Desura afterwards?

I saw no option to disable merchant buying limits.
I'm still sure, that the best solution for this is when  limit still exist, and traders buy loot that exceeds the limit from you at a discounted price - next 3-5 items for 50%, next 3-5 for 25% and so on.
It will be like traders doing business in real life, when deal with bulk quantities.

Maybe fenix, but it wouldn't solve my issue. I wouldn't seel the item for a lower value. Overall I'd prefer that the way market works is that it offers you less money for your items but at least it buys everything... However the money offered is always the same value and has nothing to do with stock (Always the same disreguarding the mercantile values of course).
